FINDLAY, Ohio (Jan. 28, 2025) — Volunteers United, the volunteer center at United Way of Hancock County, will host a card-making open house from 3-6 p.m. Feb. 5.
Participants will be making valentines and other cards of cheer to be delivered to local senior citizens and veterans. Participation is free, and all materials will be provided. Guests are encouraged, however, to bring their own supplies such as stamps, markers, stickers and more if desired.
Those who cannot make it in person can still help by making cards at home or letting their kids complete coloring or other craft projects. United Way staff will arrange for pickup if needed.
Anyone with extra cards or card-making supplies can donate these items to the cause by contacting United Way of Hancock County Volunteer Coordinator Mindy Ary at 567-249-1844 or emailing volunteer@uwhancock.org.
