Thousands of car lovers have celebrated summertime in downtown Findlay with a showcase of cars for more than 36 years. The tradition continues this weekend with the 10th Annual Car Tunes on Main.
Car Tunes on Main, being held on Saturday, Aug. 6, will include a community cruise from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cruisers will register at LaRiche Chevrolet Cadillac, 215 E. Main Cross St. Cars that are not cruising or that register after the community cruise will enter at the Lima St. and Main St. intersection. The community cruise includes pit stops across town. A map will be provided to all drivers. Cars that are not cruising will be parked, starting at 11 a.m., on Main St. and side streets between Lima St. and Main Cross. Registration for the car show will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Car Tunes on Main will take place in conjunction with The Arts Partnership's Rib-Off on Broadway sponsored by Hancock Federal Credit Union. The Rib-Off will include live music, libations and ribs. This year, Rib-Off will include a battle of the bands. Natalie Stovall and The Drive is the headliner band. Admission to Rib-Off is $5 for adults; $3 for children 12 and under and children in strollers are free.
The Flag City Corvette Club is managing the registration for the community cruise and the downtown car show. Registration is $15 and includes both the cruise and the car show.
