United Way of Hancock now offers additional web pages on its website with information about planned giving including estate planning, gift options, bequest language and more. The website includes a planned gifts calculator which can show the potential donor the income and tax benefits for many different gift options such as unitrusts, annuity trusts and deferred gift annuities.
Individuals interested in using the website can go to LiveUnitedHancockCounty.org and click on the “Live United Today and Tomorrow” graphic. Participants can set up an account and receive regular updates and information about estate planning and planned giving.
The website includes inspirational stories about how others have made an impact through their acts of giving. The participant can learn about resources to overcome challenges that may present themselves during retirement such as food assistance programs for senior adults or how to find alternative lodging for retirees who like to travel.
The website also provides news and information from a national level as it relates to professionals who advise senior adults like certified public accountants, attorneys, trust officers and others.
“It is important for United Way of Hancock County to plan for the continuation of the organization. The planned giving resources on our website can now assist individuals who want to ensure that we are able to measurably improve people’s lives far into the future,” said John Urbanski, president and CEO of United Way.
